ClipX: AI Video Clipper
Delete your ClipX account
Last updated: September 22, 2026
Delete your account in the app
- Open the ClipX: AI Video Clipper app and sign in.
- Tap Settings.
- Tap Delete account.
- Type DELETE in the box under Type DELETE to confirm.
- Tap Delete my account, then tap Delete account to confirm.
You are signed out at once. You cannot undo this.
Delete your account without the app
- Go to our Support page. You do not need to sign in.
- Choose Other.
- In Subject, write “Delete my account”.
- In Description, ask us to delete your account.
- If you are not signed in, enter the email address of your ClipX account in Your Email. We reply to that address.
- Select Submit Ticket.
The team at ClipX may ask you to confirm the request from that email address before we delete the account. After that, the same timing and rules below apply. You can also install the app, sign in with the same account, and follow the steps above.
What happens, and when
Immediately
- You are signed out everywhere and cannot sign in again.
- A Pro subscription you bought on the website is cancelled at once and does not renew. You are not charged again.
- A subscription you bought through the App Store is billed by Apple, and only you can cancel it. Cancel it first in the app under Settings > Manage subscription, or in your iPhone settings.
- Your connected social accounts are disconnected, and we delete their access tokens.
After 30 days
Thirty days after you delete your account, we permanently delete all the data in the next list, from our database and from our file storage. This normally finishes within one more day.
What we delete
- Your account: email address, name, sign-in details and profile.
- Videos you uploaded or added by link, with their transcripts and thumbnails.
- Clips and compilations, with your edits, captions, titles and cover images.
- Audio tracks, voiceovers, photos, logos, watermarks and B-roll that you added.
- Your caption and branding settings and presets.
- Channels you follow with Autopilot, and their settings.
- Connected social accounts and your publishing history.
- Notifications, support tickets and messages, cancellation answers and email preferences.
- Your subscription status, the payment history in our database, and records of the IP addresses you signed in from.
What we keep
- Invoice records. For each subscription payment we keep the amount, the date and the Stripe invoice and customer references, for accounting and tax. After deletion these records are no longer linked to your ClipX account.
- Records at Stripe and Apple. Stripe, our payment processor, and Apple keep their own payment records, as the law requires them to. We cannot delete those.
- Block lists. If we blocked an account for abuse, its email address or IP address stays on our block list so it cannot be used to sign up again.
- Usage analytics. Our analytics provider, PostHog, keeps records of the pages and features you used, linked to your account ID and, if you used the website, your email address. These are not deleted automatically. Ask through the Support page and we delete them.
- Some files from items you deleted yourself. When you delete a video or a clip one at a time, some preview images and extra audio versions can stay in our file storage. They are no longer linked to your account in our database.
- Posts on other platforms. Clips you already posted to TikTok, YouTube, Instagram or X stay on those platforms. Delete them there.
Delete some of your data without deleting your account
These deletions happen immediately and cannot be undone.
Delete a video
- In the app: open the video, tap the trash icon at the top right, then tap Delete.
- On the website: on your dashboard, under My Videos, click the trash icon on the video, then click Delete.
This deletes the video, its source file and every clip made from it. If the video is a sample from our library, we delete only your copy. The shared sample file stays for other people.
Delete a clip
- In the app: open the clip, tap Delete, then tap Delete again.
- On the website: open the clip, click Delete, then confirm.
This deletes the clip and its video file. For a clip from a sample video, we delete only your copy.
Disconnect a social account
- In the app: tap Settings > Connected accounts, tap Disconnect next to the account, then tap Disconnect again.
- On the website: go to Settings > Social Accounts and click Disconnect.
ClipX stops posting to that account, and we delete its access tokens. The account name stays in your publishing history until you delete your ClipX account.
