Head-to-head comparison
Klap vs Vizard
Vizard is the better pick if you want a real free plan, long uploads up to 600 minutes and a team workspace at a lower price. Klap is the better pick if you post many clips from shorter videos and want every feature, unlimited social accounts and an API on its cheapest plan. Both bill yearly plans at half the monthly price.

What is Klap?
Klap turns a long video into short clips. You drop a file or paste a YouTube link, it picks the best topics, scores each clip for viral potential, reframes the speaker and adds animated captions. It works in 99+ languages, and its rule of thumb is about 5 clips per minute of source video.
Every Klap plan has the same features and differs only in how many clips you get: 100, 300 or 1,000 a month. Source length does not use up your plan, up to 3 hours per video. Posting and scheduling to five networks, an editor with B-roll and hook titles, and an API with Zapier, Make, n8n and MCP connections are all part of the product.
What is Vizard?
Vizard also clips long videos with AI, and it is aimed at podcasts, webinars, interviews and other speech-led recordings. It finds engaging moments, reframes the subject for vertical, and adds AI captions, emojis and B-roll. Its own help center says videos longer than 15 minutes work best.
Vizard meters by credits, where 1 credit is 1 minute of video. The free plan gives 60 credits a month, and paid plans start from 600. It also has an edit-by-text editor, brand templates, a team workspace, scheduled posting, an API and an iPhone app, plus newer tools called Vizard Agent and AI Studio.

Pricing: clips against minutes
As of November 4, 2026, both entry plans cost the same: Klap Basic and Vizard Creator are $29/month, or $14.50/month when you pay $174 for a year. The difference is what that money buys. Klap Basic gives 100 clips a month whatever the source length. Vizard Creator gives at least 600 minutes of uploaded video a month and does not cap the clips you make from them.
Higher up, the plans split. Klap Pro is $79/month ($39.50/month yearly) for 300 clips, and Pro+ is $189/month ($94.50/month yearly) for 1,000 clips and is aimed at teams. Vizard Business is $39/month ($19.50/month yearly) and adds a shared workspace, team members at $5 per seat a month, a brand kit and unlimited storage. Vizard also sells larger credit bundles, from 7,200 to 74,400 credits a year.
A rough way to choose: if you upload a few long recordings and want many clips from each, minutes are the cheaper meter. If you upload many short videos and post only the best few clips, a clip count goes further.
Trying them before you pay
Vizard has a lasting free plan: 60 minutes of video a month, uploads up to 60 minutes and 1 GB, 720p export of up to 10 minutes, and 3 days of storage. Creator lists "no watermark" as one of its upgrades, and only TikTok can be connected for posting on the free plan.
Klap lets you try one video with no credit card. You can preview and edit the clips from it, but downloading or posting them needs a paid plan. Klap also offers a refund in your first month on both monthly and yearly plans.
How each finds and frames clips
Klap extracts topics from the speech and gives every clip a virality score, so you can sort by its estimate before you edit. Its reframe has named layouts for split screen, screencasts and gaming, on top of following the active speaker.
Vizard picks engaging moments and centers the key subject, and its own advice is to feed it speech-based videos such as podcasts, webinars and interviews. Captions can be translated to over 100 languages, and AI adds emojis, highlighted keywords and B-roll. For editing, Vizard lets you trim by deleting transcript text, which is quick for talk content.
Publishing, teams and automation
Klap schedules and posts to TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn and Facebook on every plan with no limit on connected accounts, and shows post analytics. Vizard connects TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, X, Instagram and Facebook Pages, but the number of accounts depends on the plan: 1, 6 or 20.
For developers, Klap prices its API per use and connects to Zapier, Make, n8n and an MCP server. Vizard includes API access on every plan with rate limits that grow with the plan. Vizard also has an iPhone app; Klap lists no mobile app.

You build automations around clipping

A third option: ClipX
Klap and Vizard both pick clips from speech, and so does ClipX. Where it differs is the path for streamers: paste a Twitch VOD (twitch.tv/videos/...), a Kick VOD, a YouTube video or live replay, or a Vimeo link, and ClipX turns the talk into a transcript, sorts the strongest moments to the top and exports vertical clips with captions. Every run asks you to confirm the footage is your own or used with its owner's consent.
Testing happens on the free plan (process, edit and preview; exports need Pro). Pro opens at $4.99 for one month and then runs $20 monthly or $200 yearly; its exports are 1080x1920 MP4 files with no ClipX watermark.
- Streams past 3 hours: Pro takes up to 12 hours, worked through in parts of up to 3 hours that you pick one by one.
- A Twitch VOD listed under a game switches gaming rules on without a setting: the people playing count more than an in-game narrator, and no clip drops its lead-up or its reaction.
- With Facecam + Video the camera sits above the game footage; a camera box with soft edges needs one manual drag of the top crop in each clip.
- Autopilot, for YouTube channels only, picks up new uploads and clips them.
- Where ClipX falls short of them: no public API, direct posting only to YouTube Shorts, and clip finding reads speech, not the kill feed or on-screen text.
Free plan to try it: process, edit and preview. Exports need Pro, $4.99 for the first month, then $20/month.
