Roblox Clip Maker
Paste a Roblox VOD and get vertical clips for TikTok, YouTube Shorts and Reels. ClipX follows the streamer's voice through obbies, horror games and roleplay servers, ranks the reactions and writes captions you can edit word by word.
Free plan to try it: process, edit and preview your clips. Exports need Pro.
Roblox is a platform of user-made games, which Roblox calls experiences. One Roblox stream can hold an obby in the first hour, a horror game in the second and a roleplay server after that. This page is for streamers who want short videos from those sessions and for clippers who edit for them.
That variety is the hard part. Each experience has its own screen layout, its own sounds and its own pace. A setting that suits a horror chase is wrong for a slow roleplay scene, and there is no single HUD to plan around.
ClipX does not need to know which experience is on screen. It works from the streamer's voice: the scream in the dark, the rage at the last jump, the line that makes a roleplay scene land. It ranks those moments and keeps the lead-up attached to each one.
How it works
Note which experiences the VOD covers
Many Roblox streams switch experiences several times. Jot down roughly when each one starts, so you know what kind of clip to expect in each stretch. Then copy the VOD link from Twitch, YouTube or Kick.
Paste the link into ClipX
Confirm the stream is yours or that the streamer said you may clip it. For a Twitch VOD saved under the Roblox category, the Gaming / stream mode switches on by itself.
Sort the picks by experience
Go through the ranked list. Horror picks and obby fails often need little work. Roleplay picks may need a tighter trim so the joke arrives in the first seconds.
Correct usernames and export
Usernames and experience names are words the captions often get wrong. Fix them, choose the layout for each clip, and export a 1080x1920 MP4 on Pro.
What you get
- VOD links from Twitch, YouTube and Kick, plus file uploads up to 500 MB
- A layout per clip: Facecam + Video, Full Fit + Title or Center Crop
- Ranking driven by the streamer's speech, with game sounds weighted lower
- Captions synced to each word, which you can move high, middle or low
- Auto length or a fixed Short, Medium or Long
- A Bleep swear words switch that uses a beep or silence
What clips well, experience by experience
Roblox experiences fall into a few broad types, and each type gives a different kind of clip. ClipX finds them through the streamer's commentary, so all of these work best when the player talks.
- Obbies: the jump that fails after a long climb, and the reaction to landing back at a checkpoint.
- Horror experiences: the scare itself, with the quiet buildup in front of it.
- Roleplay servers: a scene with other players that turns funny or strange, from the first line to the punchline.
- Competitive and fighting experiences: a comeback round or a close loss called out loud.
- Tycoon and simulator games: a big purchase or a long-awaited upgrade, if the streamer reacts to it.
- Party games with friends: an argument, a betrayal or a vote that goes the wrong way.
Facecam, crops and on-screen UI
Webcam placement on Roblox streams varies a lot, and some streamers play without a camera at all. With a clear webcam box, Facecam + Video stacks the face over the game. Without one, use Full Fit + Title for a wide scene, or Center Crop when the action stays in the middle of the screen, as it does in many obbies.
Every experience draws its own interface, so there is no fixed HUD to avoid. Roblox adds its own menu and chat controls, and each creator puts health bars, timers, buttons and currency counters wherever they like. Check the first seconds of each clip. The middle caption position is usually the safest start, and you can drag captions high or low when an experience puts its UI in the center.
Picking a length per experience
Roblox clips do not share one rhythm. Use Auto when a VOD mixes several experiences: ClipX gives each moment the length it needs, up to about 2:45. Set a fixed length when you clip one experience for a whole series:
- Short (under 1 min): horror scares, obby falls, a single line in a party game.
- Medium (1-3 min): a roleplay scene with a setup and an ending, or a full round of a competitive game.
- Long (3-5 min): a complete horror chapter or a longer roleplay story, best suited to YouTube.
Young viewers and other players
Roblox clips can reach young viewers on TikTok and Shorts, so read every caption before you post. The Bleep swear words switch replaces swear words with a beep or with silence, which keeps a clip suitable without cutting the moment out.
Multiplayer experiences also put other people on screen. Names often show above avatars and in chat, and voice chat can carry other players' words into the transcript. Decide whether you want those names and voices in a public clip, and trim or change the crop when you do not.
Clip only with the streamer's consent
ClipX is built for creators clipping their own Roblox broadcasts and for editors who have a streamer's approval. If you want to clip a channel you do not work with, ask first and keep to the rules they give you. For every video, ClipX requires you to confirm ownership or permission before it starts.

ClipX is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Roblox Corporation, and it has no link to the creators of the experiences shown in streams. Roblox is a trademark of Roblox Corporation. We name it here only to describe the kind of streams you can clip.

Does it matter which Roblox experience I played?
No. ClipX does not identify experiences or read their UI. It ranks moments by what the streamer says, so any experience with live commentary can give clips.
