One free video a day. No credit card. Cancel any time.
Kick streamers grow the same way Twitch streamers do: the stream is the work, and short clips bring new viewers in from TikTok, YouTube Shorts and Reels. Kick has a clip button, but someone still has to sit through the VOD to find the moments and then reframe each one for a phone. ClipX does the finding and the reframing. You do the choosing.
You paste a Kick link, ClipX transcribes the stream and picks the moments with a clear setup and payoff, and you review a ranked list. Each clip opens in a full editor, so you can move the cut points, fix a caption or change the layout before you export.
How it works
Copy the Kick link
Use the link of a past stream (kick.com/video/… or kick.com/<channel>/videos/…) or of a Kick clip (kick.com/<channel>?clip=…). The stream must be over; a live channel page will not work.
Paste it and set the content type
Paste the link on your ClipX dashboard and confirm that you own the stream or have permission to use it. Choose Gaming / stream for a game, or IRL stream / funny moments for talk and IRL streams. Leave the length on Auto so each clip ends with its moment.
Review what ClipX found
ClipX ranks the moments by how strong the opening is and how well the clip stands alone. Watch each one in the preview, skip the misses and open the good ones in the editor.
Export the clips you keep
Pro exports 1080×1920 MP4 files with no watermark, ready to post on TikTok, Shorts or Reels. The free plan lets you edit and preview every clip; exporting is on Pro.
What you get
- Kick VOD links and Kick clip links
- Facecam + Video split: webcam on top, stream below
- Content types for gaming and for IRL streams
- Editable word-by-word captions
- Auto clip length that ends each clip after the payoff
- One free video a day, up to 3 hours; Pro has unlimited videos and exports
Why a stream clip needs a different cut
A podcast clip is mostly about one sentence. A stream clip is usually about something that happens and the reaction to it, and the reaction is often the best part. ClipX tries to keep both: the clip starts before the moment and runs past the reaction instead of stopping on the first punchline.
With Gaming / stream selected, ClipX also gives more weight to you and your teammates than to voices from the game, and it avoids very short clips that lose the setup. IRL stream / funny moments looks for a reaction or an unexpected event that makes sense on its own. You can still make any clip shorter or longer in the editor.
Kick links: what to expect
- Finished streams and Kick clips work. A stream that is still live is refused until it ends.
- If a Kick link will not load, download the VOD from Kick and upload the file instead (MP4, MOV, MKV or WebM, up to 500 MB).
- A Kick clip must be at least 30 seconds long for ClipX to process it.
- A stream longer than 3 hours is refused on every plan. Clip a shorter part of it on Kick first.
- ClipX picks moments from speech. Talk on stream, react out loud and read chat: that is what gives it the best material.
- Only clip streams you own or have permission to use. ClipX asks you to confirm this for every video.
A simple weekly routine
Many streamers clip once a week: process the best stream of the week, keep five to ten clips, and post them over the following days. The free plan is enough to try this: one video a day to review and edit. Pro adds exports with no watermark and unlimited videos.
If you also upload your streams to YouTube, ClipX Pro can watch that YouTube channel and process each new upload on its own. Autopilot works with YouTube channels only.
Frequently asked questions
Is the Kick clip maker free?
You can process one video a day for free, up to 3 hours long, and edit and preview every clip ClipX finds. Exporting finished clips needs Pro: $4.99 for the first month, then $20/month, or $200/year. Pro has unlimited videos and exports, with no watermark.
Can I paste a Kick clip instead of a whole VOD?
Yes, if the clip is at least 30 seconds long. ClipX then finds the best part of it, reframes it for vertical and adds captions.
Does it handle a facecam in the corner?
Yes. Facecam + Video puts your camera in the top half and the stream in the bottom half. ClipX looks for the camera box itself; if it misses a camera without a clear border, set the crop by hand once in the editor.
I stream on Kick and Twitch. Do I need two tools?
No. ClipX takes Kick, Twitch, YouTube and Vimeo links, and file uploads, in the same dashboard.
Can ClipX post my Kick clips to TikTok?
Not directly yet. Export the MP4 and post it from the TikTok app. On Pro, ClipX can publish to YouTube Shorts directly.
