ARC Raiders Clip Maker

Cut ARC Raiders broadcasts into short clips for TikTok, Reels and YouTube Shorts. ClipX ranks each raid by the talking that happens in it, frames the webcam above the action and writes word-timed captions.

Free plan to try it: process, edit and preview your clips. Exports need Pro.

ARC Raiders streams are long by nature. A session is raid after raid on the surface, called Topside, with trips back to the underground hub, Speranza, to sell, craft and gear up in between. Streamers who want Shorts from that session, and clippers who edit it for them with permission, both have to dig the good minutes out of hours of looting.

What makes this extraction shooter hard to clip is that its best moments are social and slow to build. A raid can last up to half an hour. A meeting with another squad starts with a nervous voice line and may end in a truce, a trade or a betrayal minutes later. Getting out alive with full pockets matters because death costs the gear you carried. The payoff only lands if the clip keeps the tension that came before it.

ClipX is good at exactly this kind of footage, because it ranks moments by speech. Tense whispering, shouted plans and conversations with strangers are what it reads best.

How it works

1

Let the raid session end

Live broadcasts are refused. Once the streamer logs off and the VOD is saved, copy the Twitch video link, the YouTube replay or the Kick VOD.

2

Add the VOD to ClipX

Paste the link and confirm you own the stream or have the creator's go-ahead. For a Twitch VOD under ARC Raiders, Gaming / stream mode is picked for you.

3

Set length by raid pacing

Auto suits a session of mixed raids. Choose Medium if you want encounters with other Raiders kept whole, from the first hello to how it ended.

4

Trim to the tension and export

Start each clip on the first sign of trouble, fix map and item names the captions got wrong, then export a 1080x1920 MP4 with a Pro plan.

What you get

  • 1080x1920 MP4 clips from ARC Raiders broadcasts saved on Twitch, YouTube or Kick
  • Facecam + Video layout with the streamer above the raid
  • Gaming / stream ranking that keeps the lead-up and the reaction together
  • Captions synced to each word, editable when names come out wrong
  • Length on Auto, or set to Short, Medium or Long
  • Pro covers sessions up to 12 hours long, one section of 3 hours or less per run

Raid moments that turn into clips

Every raid follows the same arc: drop in, loot, deal with the machines and other players, then reach an exit. The clips that work sit at the risky turns of that arc, when the streamer is talking:

  • A tense meeting with strangers over proximity voice, from the first "friendly" call to the handshake or the ambush.
  • A betrayal: a squad that seemed peaceful opens fire, and the streamer's reaction says it all.
  • A last-second extraction with a full bag, ARC machines or another squad closing in.
  • A big fight against an ARC machine that the team plans out loud before it starts.
  • A death that costs a whole raid of loot, and the grief that follows.
  • A lucky find or a rare drop the streamer cannot stop talking about.

Framing the streamer and the raid

ARC Raiders is played from a third-person view, so the Raider stays near the centre of the 16:9 frame, and most streams add a small webcam in a corner. Facecam + Video puts that webcam across the upper part of the vertical frame, with the raid below it. When the camera box has clear borders, ClipX finds it by itself; otherwise drag the top crop into place once for each clip.

The status readouts of the game sit toward the edges of the screen, away from the Raider in the middle, and their exact spots are worth checking in each preview. Keep your title and captions clear of the borders and of the line where the camera meets the game. The middle caption position tends to read best for a third-person view; the caption snaps to high, middle or low when you drag it. For a clip where the camera is off, Full Fit + Title shows the whole frame under a short hook line.

Clip length and raid pacing

Raids are long, but their peaks are not. A reaction to a rare find or a sudden death fits Short (under a minute); Gaming / stream mode still aims for at least about 20 seconds, so you see what led to it.

Encounters with other Raiders take longer to play out. The calls, the stand-off and the outcome often need one to three minutes, which is Medium. Long, at three to five minutes, fits a full extraction run with a chase to the exit. Auto measures each clip by its moment, capped at about 2:45, so it is a safe default for a whole evening of raids.

Why proximity chat streams clip so well

ARC Raiders has a proximity voice chat that players turn on in the settings, and it lets strangers nearby hear each other. That is a gift for a speech-based clipper. A streamer who talks to other squads produces short, self-contained stories with a clear start and end: an offer, a negotiation, a decision.

ClipX hears the streamer and the strangers they talk to, and in Gaming / stream mode it gives players' voices more weight than other in-game sound. Two things to watch: strangers may swear, so check the Bleep swear words switch, and their voices may be quieter than the streamer's, so read the captions and fix any line the transcript missed.

Clip only with consent

Ask before you clip an ARC Raiders streamer who is not you. Plenty of creators like to see their raids spread on short-video apps, but the choice is theirs, and some set rules on how to tag them. Follow those rules and the platform rules of wherever you post. ClipX will not process a VOD until you confirm you own it or have the streamer's approval.

Frequently asked questions

Is the ARC Raiders clip maker free to use?

You get a free plan to try it (process, edit and preview; exports need Pro). Pro is $4.99 for the first month, then $20/month or $200/year, with no ClipX watermark on exports.

Can ClipX tell when the streamer extracts or dies?

Not from the screen. ClipX does not read the HUD or the end-of-raid summary. It ranks moments by speech, so an extraction or a death the streamer reacts to out loud is what it finds.

Will strangers' voices show up in the captions?

Yes, when they are clear enough to transcribe. Every caption word can be edited, so you can fix or remove a line that came out wrong.

How long a raid session can I paste?

Pro takes VODs of up to 12 hours. You process one part of up to 3 hours at a time, then paste the same link again to choose the next part.

Can ClipX post ARC Raiders clips for me?

Pro accounts can send clips straight to YouTube Shorts. For TikTok or Instagram Reels you need a downloaded MP4 that you post from those apps.

Is ClipX an official ARC Raiders tool?

No. ClipX is independent and has no connection to Embark Studios.
