EA SPORTS FC Clip Maker
Turn EA SPORTS FC streams into vertical football clips for YouTube Shorts, TikTok and Instagram Reels. ClipX picks out the pack pulls, the late goals and the meltdowns from the streamer's commentary, sets the webcam above the pitch and captions each word.

Football game streams run long. An evening of EA SPORTS FC can mean a full pack opening, a run of Ultimate Team matches and some squad building in between. Streamers who want Shorts from it, and clippers who cut those streams for a creator with permission, both start with hours of footage and a handful of moments that matter.
This game is tricky to clip because the action and the reaction rarely sit in one shot. A walkout from a pack takes a few seconds to reveal; a winning goal in stoppage time comes after a whole half of building tension. The streamer's voice carries most of the story: the hope before the reveal, the shout at the goal, the complaint about the defending. A clip that only keeps the goal loses why it mattered.
ClipX ranks moments from speech, so it follows the streamer's commentary rather than the scoreline. That suits streamers who talk through every match.
How it works
Copy the FC stream once it ends
ClipX refuses a stream that is still live. After the broadcast, copy the Twitch VOD address, a YouTube live replay or a Kick VOD.
Add the link and state your rights
Drop the link in, then tick that you streamed it yourself or that the creator agreed. Check that the content type reads Gaming / stream.
Choose a length per format
Pick Short for pack reveals and single goals, Medium for a comeback that spans a half, or leave Auto on to let each clip find its own end.
Fix player names and export
Footballer names are what transcripts trip on most, so correct them in the captions, trim the build-up, then export on Pro as a 1080x1920 MP4.
What you get
- 1080x1920 vertical MP4 files from EA SPORTS FC streams archived on Twitch, YouTube or Kick
- Facecam + Video layout: webcam on top, the pitch or the pack screen below
- Gaming / stream mode ranks the streamer's voice above in-game commentary
- Captions synced to each word, with every footballer name editable
- Clip length set to Auto, or locked to Short, Medium or Long
- On Pro: VODs up to 12 hours, taken in sections of 3 hours or less
EA SPORTS FC moments worth clipping
Most of what people share from FC streams comes from Ultimate Team, where packs and competitive modes create constant highs and lows. ClipX ranks them by what the streamer says, so these work best when the streamer is loud about them:
- A pack opening with a big walkout, from the hopeful build-up to the reveal and the shout.
- A pack that comes up empty after a long tease, and the disappointment that follows.
- A late winner or equaliser in a Division Rivals or Champions match, with the reaction.
- A comeback from two goals down that the streamer narrates as it happens.
- A rant about a goal conceded, a red card or a missed chance in front of goal.
- Squad-building talk where the streamer explains a new signing and then tests it on the pitch.
Camera, pitch and the scoreboard
An FC stream usually shows the wide broadcast camera of the match with a webcam laid over a corner. Cropping the centre to 9:16 loses most of the pitch and often the streamer too. Facecam + Video divides the frame: the webcam fills the upper part and the match fills the lower part, so a goal and the celebration share one screen. A webcam with a clean border is detected automatically; for a borderless webcam, drag the top crop once per clip.
The score, the clock and the radar sit near the edges of the match screen rather than over the play, and their exact positions depend on the camera and HUD settings, so look at the preview before you place anything. A middle caption position usually avoids both; a dragged caption snaps to one of three heights: high, middle or low. Pack reveals and menus are a good fit for Full Fit + Title, which keeps the whole screen visible under a short hook line.
Matching clip length to the match
A pack reveal or a single goal is quick, so Short (under a minute) works. Gaming / stream mode targets clips of roughly 20 seconds and up, which keeps the moment of hope before the walkout or the move that led to the goal.
A match swings over many minutes. A comeback or a tense finish to a Champions game often needs one to three minutes to make sense, so pick Medium. The Long setting (three to five minutes) can hold a full extra-time drama when the commentary stays strong. Auto stops each clip where its moment does (the cap is about 2:45), and is the simplest choice for a mixed stream.
Commentary, music and stadium sound
Football games are full of other voices: the match commentary, the crowd and the menu music. In Gaming / stream mode ClipX gives the streamer's voice more weight than the game's commentators, so a line from the commentary does not push out a real reaction. Streams with no talk over the match give few clips.
One piece of general advice for short-video platforms: licensed music and broadcast-style audio in game footage can sometimes trigger automated copyright matches. Clips that keep the streamer's voice on top, and leave out long stretches of menu music, tend to be safer. Each platform has its own rules, so check them if a clip gets flagged.
Clipping other FC streamers
Before you cut a football streamer's content, get their agreement. Some creators are glad to have clip accounts and say so publicly; others want every short to come from their own page. If they set rules for tagging or posting, follow them, along with the rules of each app you use. Inside ClipX you also state that the footage is your own or cleared by its owner before anything is processed.

Frequently asked questions
Is the EA FC clip maker free?
There is a free plan to try it (process, edit and preview; exports need Pro). Pro is $4.99 for the first month, then $20/month or $200/year, and Pro exports have no ClipX watermark.
Does ClipX detect goals or walkouts?
No. It does not read the scoreboard or the pack screen. It finds moments from the streamer's voice, so a goal or a pull they shout about is what it ranks highly.
Does it work with FC 27 and older editions?
Yes. ClipX works from the stream's speech, not from the game itself, so any edition of EA SPORTS FC streamed on Twitch, YouTube or Kick can be clipped the same way.
Can I clip a long Champions Finals stream?
Pro accepts a single VOD of up to 12 hours. Work through it in sections no longer than 3 hours each, pasting the same link to start every new section.
Can ClipX publish the clips?
On Pro it can publish to YouTube Shorts. For TikTok and Instagram Reels, you post the exported file yourself.
Is ClipX linked to EA SPORTS?
No. ClipX is a separate clipping product with no connection to Electronic Arts or EA SPORTS.
